BIO
Glam on the outside, geek on the inside.
I bring both agency and client-side experience in tech-driven, culture-building brand strategies. My mission? To make brands culturally resonant and watchable, for lasting impact while building fierce and unparalleled creative centers of excellence.
I first fell in love with design in Professor Graham’s Design 101 class at American University—it was like learning a new language, one I couldn’t wait to master. My journey began at agencies like Ogilvy, Saatchi, and Grey, working on brands like Jaguar, Tiffany’s, CoverGirl, and Pringles. At Grey, my fascination with brand experiences grew, leading me to a role heading brand at YahooHotJobs, where I helped lead the company through its IPO.
From there, I moved to Razorfish to lead brand experience, then back to Grey’s healthcare team, launching brands like Botox Cosmetic and SlimFast. I eventually launched my own agency, 321 Takeoff, where I partnered with brands big and small, from Doctors Without Borders to Pod Hotels. We redefined food aid policy, launched America's first Japanese-style micro-hotel, and broke new ground in social and content.
After selling 321, I joined Marriott, transforming their in-house agency into an always-on newsroom with campaigns like Two Bellmen and LoveTravels, their DEI initiative that resonated globally. I then led IBM’s Brand Studio, developing campaigns like Dream It Done, THINK, and Six Degrees of Automation, while guiding the company’s rebrand.
Now, I’m the founder of Far From Timid, where I drive brand experiences and strategy for clients like Maesa (A Bain Capital Company with brands like Kristin Ess and Drew Barrymore's Flower), University of Phoenix, Mobileye, and Blockboard, using my Watchable Brands methodology. Ask me about Brand Programming. It's at the intersection of advertising, entertainment, and news.
In between the brands, I've got a storied family history that I'll share with you one day. Also I'm an exhibited painter of abstract art, inventor of two luxury jewelry lines and a lifestyle brand, a small forward in basketball, and a blackbelt in Shaolin Kung Fu.
