CONFIDENCE HEIST CHATBOT PARODY

A social first parody series with creator Marc Eskenazi to demystify and ground people on what chatbots are and how they work.

CHALLENGE

New technology creates real-world impact long before people understand how to use it responsibly. We’ve seen this pattern before—from cars to social media. This series helps demystify chatbots so people can understand their influence and use them with intention.

SOLUTION

We partnered with creator Marc Eskenazi to reinvent the Confidence Heist street-interview format—this time stopping chatbots instead of people.

Each episode interrogates an AI model as if it were a stranger on the street, exposing how it was trained, where its confidence comes from, and what it gets wrong. Through sharp humor and reporting, the series unpacks medical misinformation, sketchy data sources, chatbot romance, hallucinations, gender bias in salary negotiations, and the unseen human labor behind the models.

Directed by Marc Eskenazi (The New Yorker), the series opens with a bold headline and peels back the mechanics beneath the machine—turning complex AI systems into watchable, culturally fluent stories.
